The 90501 Titanium SS Super Automatic Espresso and Cappuccino Machine is the stainless steel, top of the line, bells and whistles espresso machine kitchens would ask for if they could talk. The 90501 brings the coffee shop’s bells and whistles home to the family kitchen for creating virtually every coffee drink imaginable.
The only thing Gaggia didn’t pack in the box was coffee beans and water. New owners will find their Gaggia securely packed with all the accessories needed to use and keep their Gaggia in pristine condition. Included are a coffee scoop for use with the bypass doser, a manual frothing wand and an automatic frother, a wrench for removing the faceplate to access the brew unit, brush for cleaning the brew unit and a hard water testing strip.
Bells and Whistles
The 90501 Titanium is overflowing with bells and whistles. From the moment its unpacked to the mere minutes later that it is primed and serving up its first creamy espresso, the Gaggia is a delightfully simple to use appliance that turns out espressos and cappuccinos to rival the local barista.
The cobalt blue digital display steers users through the brewing process and alerts to any programming information that is necessary.
This Gaggia model has a stainless steel Turbo Frother, and stainless steel front and side panels that complement any décor in any kitchen. This classical housing contains the same internal workings Gaggia fans have come to love.
Features
The SS model has two 1250-watt boilers to reduce down time – go from brewing to frothing and back again instantly. While one boiler is in use the other is heating. The removable water reservoir is also on a swivel base to make filling with water easy no matter where the machine is sitting.
The push button controls make it easy enough for anyone to brew an espresso. There is a specific button for each beverage, choose from espresso, regular coffee, large coffee, and hot water for cocoas and tea. The remaining three push buttons are for storing personalized settings.
Individuals with preferences on coffee strength, water volume dispensed and coffee temperature can store those settings in the memory and recall them with one of the programmable push buttons.
The coffee bean hopper and by-pass doser make it simple to change from one coffee to another. Fill the hopper with the beans most often used. The conical burr grinder has 18 settings for getting the perfect grind without fear of burning the coffee beans. Switching to decaf for the next brew is as easy as putting the desired amount of pre-ground coffee in the bypass doser.
Using the automatic frothing attachment even a novice can produce perfect cappuccinos and lattes. The automatic frother uses fresh, cold milk and automatically creates perfectly steamed and frothed milk, dispensing it directly in the cup if desired. Seasoned baristas can use the manual frothing wand to show off their skills.
Cleaning
Cleaning the Gaggia 90501 is the beauty of the machine. There’s no need to do anything until the machine alerts that it is time. The dreg drawer has an alert that notifies that it is time to empty it and the drip pan has a full notice via a floating device that rises. Other than that, a weekly quick clean up of the removable brew unit using the included brush and it’s all done.
